What a sauna and cold plunge session costs in 6 US cities

I got tired of "it depends" answers, so here is the actual published Pricing from the 97 studios on our list that post numbers, rolled up by city. Nothing here is estimated. If a studio does not publish it, it is not in the table.

Compiled Pricing by city

Compiled Pricing as of October 12, 2026, from 116 open studios we cover. Drop-in range covers every published adult single visit (intros, group rentals, child tickets and multi-visit packs left out). Median uses each studio's lowest drop-in.

What the numbers say

Denver is the cheapest place on our list to walk in, with a $48 median drop-in. Austin is the priciest at $65. The spread inside each city is bigger than the spread between cities, because format matters more than zip code: a shared Finnish floor and a locked private suite can sit a mile apart and double in Pricing.

My take: use the intro, go three or four times, then do the membership math. Memberships look expensive on the table, but at two visits a week most of them beat paying drop-in.

FAQ

How much does a sauna and cold plunge session cost?

On our October 12, 2026 compile, the typical single visit runs from a $48 median in Denver to a $65 median in Austin. Communal floors sit low, private suites sit high. For format by format detail, read the ContrastLocal cost guide.

Where do these numbers come from?

Every figure is published Pricing we copied from operator sites onto our studio pages, 97 studios in all. We do not estimate or survey. Each city table lists the studio pages behind it, and every studio page carries its own last-checked date.

Is an intro offer worth it?

Almost always for a first visit. Intros usually undercut the regular drop-in, and they let you test the format before you sign anything. Pick private suite vs communal contrast first, then use the intro.

When does a membership beat paying per visit?

Divide the monthly fee by how often you will really go. At two or more visits a week, most memberships win. If you are weighing a home tub instead, run the home cold plunge vs studio membership math.

Does ClassPass make it cheaper?

Sometimes, for a first visit in a few cities. Coverage moves around, so check the ClassPass for contrast therapy guide and the live app before you count on it.

Can I cite or share this data?

Yes. Link to this page and include the as-of date. Pricing changes, so readers should confirm live rates on the studio site before booking.
