About this studio
Space B.A.R. is a West Seattle wellness studio at 2705 California Ave SW with two ways to do contrast. Outer Space is the outdoor communal setup: a traditional sauna running 180 to 214F next to a shared plunge at 45 to 50F, booked as a 60-minute session for $60. Indoors, the Moon Suite (up to 4 people) and Sun Suite (1 or 2) are private rooms with an infrared sauna and their own plunge for $70 an hour.
In my opinion the outdoor traditional sauna is the reason to make the drive. Most private suite studios in Seattle are infrared only, and 214F dry heat outside is a different experience. Go private if you want quiet or you are bringing a nervous first timer. There is no phone or clock hours on the operator site, so book on Mindbody and trust the live schedule.
- Outer Space: outdoor traditional sauna at 180 to 214F with a shared plunge at 45 to 50F, 60 minutes, $60
- Moon Suite (up to 4) and Sun Suite (1 or 2): private infrared sauna to 175F plus a plunge (Moon 45 to 52F, Sun 52 to 55F), 60 minutes, $70
- Galaxy (175F, up to 2) and Cosmic (155F, up to 3) private infrared saunas and the Stellar red light room, 45 minutes, $60 each
- Celestial Suite for sports massage, cupping, and acupuncture, plus a monthly Flow State Friday guided contrast workshop

Common questions
Is Space B.A.R. communal or private?
Both. Outer Space is communal outdoor traditional sauna with a shared plunge. Moon and Sun are private infrared plus plunge suites, and Galaxy and Cosmic are private infrared saunas without a plunge.
Do I need a membership?
No. Single sessions are $60 to $70 and the 5 Session Pack is $279. Plans only make sense if you go weekly: Relax is $159 for 4 sessions every 4 weeks, Recover $209 for 8, Perform $259 for 12.
How much does a session at Space B.A.R. cost?
On our October 20, 2026 check: communal outdoor contrast $60, private contrast suites $70, private infrared sauna or red light $60, 5 Session Pack $279, and a $99 Test Flight for new clients. Rates change, so confirm on the studio site before you book.
Which room should I book for contrast?
Outer Space if you want hot traditional heat (up to 214F) and do not mind sharing. Moon if you are bringing up to 3 friends, Sun for a solo or duo session with a slightly warmer plunge (52 to 55F). Galaxy and Cosmic have no plunge.
Thinking about home?
Unlimited here is about $159 a month, or about $1,908 a year. A hard-shell plunge with a chiller runs about $4,990 to $7,990, so daily use pays it back in roughly 2.6 to 4.2 years. Plunge less than a few times a week and the membership usually wins. Compare home cold plunges or home saunas.
